SDSU School of Art and Design Launches Monthly Open House Series
Galleries will feature exhibitions and programming from a wide variety of artists

This October, SDSU School of Art and Design will launch the monthly Open House series showcasing exhibitions and programming in the school’s various galleries and public spaces.
Open to both the SDSU community and the general public, exhibitions will be on view in one or more of the school’s four art galleries, the University Art Gallery, Flor y Canto Gallery, Everett Gee Jackson Gallery, and the Installation Room. Galleries will house art and design work by students and faculty and professional local, regional, national, and international artists. Some events in the series will include artistic programming or performances.
The next School of Art and Design Open House, scheduled for October 14, from
4:00 - 6:00 pm in the University Gallery will coincide with the opening of the school’s newest exhibition, All Together Now, a show featuring work created by SDSU School of Art and Design’s faculty and staff. In addition, the Flor y Canto Gallery will have a continuous exhibition showcasing art and design work by the school’s current cohort of MFA students.
In addition, the School of Art and Design’s Fabrication Lab (Flab), located in ARTN 415, as well as its furniture and woodworking facilities in ARTN 204 and 206, will be open for visitors to tour, watch students at work and ask questions of faculty and students.
The final Open House of the fall semester will take place on Wednesday, November 18, from 4:00 - 6:00 pm. Programming to be announced.
COVID 19 protocols will be strictly enforced.
