Lizbeth Persons joined PSFA in 2014. She is a UC Berkeley graduate with over 20 years experience in communications, media relations, alumni relations, development, and nonprofit management. She served as Alumni Affairs Director at the USD School of Business Administration, as PR and Marketing, and then Development Director at Lamb's Players Theatre, and in Public Relations and Marketing at the San Diego Opera. She founded Persons Price Communications in 2009, and co-founded the PR firm Cause for Celebration in 2010, and has provided public relations, marketing, strategic planning, and development consulting for organizations such as the Spreckels Organ Society, Write Out Loud, San Diego Junior Theatre, Balboa Theatre Foundation, San Diego Sicilian Festival, Women's Museum of California, Cristina Fontanelli's Christmas in Italy, Operacaffe, and Excel Youth Zone. A third generation San Diegan with deep roots in the community, she was President of the Board of Trustees for San Diego Junior Theatre, a Founding Director of the Friends of the Museum School Foundation, wrote a weekly philanthropy column for SanDiego.com, and is presently involved with her daughter in MADCAPS (Mothers and Daughters Club Assisting Philanthropies).
