1. How has your perspective on in-person learning changed since the pandemic began?

It definitely feels different to be back in person for classes after seeing everyone on zoom for a whole year! I have conflicting feelings about it because it’s different being so close in proximity to other students. Overall, I enjoy being in person again because I feel like I’m able to really focus and participate in class.

2. What did online learning teach you about your learning style and time management?

Online learning has taught me that it’s better to stay on top of my work. I also started to use and color code my google calendar so that I can stay organized throughout the year. Since this was so effective for me during online learning I have continued it.

3. What is your favorite part about being on campus for classes?

My favorite part about being on campus for classes is being able to see all of my friends on campus and being able to have face to face discussions in class.

4. What has been the biggest challenge or adjustment you have experienced this fall?

The biggest challenge that I’ve had this Fall was adjusting to having to actually get to school and be on time for class.

5. How are you setting yourself up for success this school year? What resources or techniques are you using?

I’ve really made use of Google Calendar and to make sure that I stay on top of all of my responsibilities. Most importantly I just try to encourage myself throughout the year so that I can have a successful school year!

6. What are the perks of your school schedule?

I have Tuesdays off so I really enjoy that because it gives me a chance to rest and catch up on homework!

7. What is your favorite place on campus?

The Black Resource Center and the Drama Building are my favorite places on campus.

8. Do you have any faculty you would like to shout out for going above and beyond to make your online or in-person experience especially valuable?

I want to shout out all of the Black Resource Center Staff for all of the tremendous work they do uplifting and supporting the Black community! Also, the staff members from the Drama department that have helped me perfect my craft in theatre.
