Prison Arts Collective Presents Outside: Inside Radio’s Fourth Season

Prison Arts Collective (PAC) based at San Diego State University announces season four of Outside:Inside Radio, launching on November 12th at 9 am (PST) on KSPC 88.7 FM.

This radio show was created in 2020 by the PAC team in collaboration with KSPC to advance communications with students experiencing incarceration and the public during COVID-19. Outside:Inside Radio shares inspirational stories of returned residents, formerly incarcerated individuals, who continue to pursue a creative life outside incarceration, and individuals that have a personal connection to the justice system or facilitating art in corrections.

Prison Arts Collective was founded on the belief that art is a human right, and its mission is dedicated to the power of the arts to effect positive change in the lives of people impacted by the justice system.

PAC is based in the new Institute for the Arts, Humanities, and Social Justice at San Diego State University and has partnerships with California State University campuses in Fullerton, San Bernardino, and Humboldt. PAC is a project of Arts in Corrections, an initiative of the California Arts Council, and the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. Outside:Inside Radio, is in partnership with KSPC based at Pomona College of the Claremont Colleges.

KSPC 88.7 FM is a non-commercial, educational station owned by Pomona College and operated by students of the Claremont Colleges and community volunteers since 1956 as a service to the Los Angeles basin and beyond.
