Anzhelika Levytska joined the MCJC program to learn more about the United States ‘ criminal justice system. Levytska already holds two degrees in foreign languages. During her time in the program she completed an internship in CSA San Diego County, a housing counseling non-profit agency. “Working there has really widened my horizon and taught me something that I would not know from the books - how many people live in desperate conditions and are helpless, and what a big heart some of the workers of CSA have - helping those who are in need sometimes with their own money and resources”, said Levytska.

Levytska is looking forward to the future endeavors and successes of the MCJC Class of 2021. “Everyone in our class has such a unique and hardworking personality; undoubtedly, they will succeed in every area they choose to work in”, she said. She also shared some words of wisdom for the incoming MCJC class. “My life would be a lot bleaker without studying at SDSU, so all incoming graduate students of the School of Public Affairs, know - you are lucky! Practical advice: in the beginning of my first year I was very shy to ask my professors for help or explanation. There was no benefit in it - no one judged me.”
