Charlotte Randle enrolled in SDSU’s Tourism Management program when she was only 16 years old. Randle is now 20 years old, and has been named 2022 outstanding graduate of the program.
Through her hard work and dedication to her studies, Randle was awarded several academic scholarships, including the California Hotel & Lodging Association Hospitality Foundation Scholarship, and the American Hotel & Lodging Association scholarship.
“I set out to do this four years ago and I kept my word, stayed focused, and persisted in face of many challenges including the loss of a parent,” shares Randle.
Even in the face of adversity, Randle worked to build meaningful experiences at SDSU. Outside of her studies, Randle was the co-director of National Society of Minorities in Hospitality.
Randle advises incoming freshman to “experience as much as you can, live for the moment but make sure your homework is done first.”
