Hannah Park has been named outstanding graduate of the SDSU Naval Science Program. As a recipient of a National Navy ROTC Scholarship, Park thrived during her time at SDSU. Beyond her own studies, Park served as a tutor and mentor in the ROTC program and through Student-Athlete Academic Support Services.
She has a passion for helping people achieve her goals and jumps at every opportunity to do so. With this, Park shares her hope for the graduating class, “I hope everyone achieves their dreams and doesn’t let anyone tell them they are dreaming too big. I hope everyone stays focused on their goals and is proud when success comes.”
Park’s career goals are to become a jet pilot in the US Navy, and the ROTC program has prepared her for this role. Sharing her gratitude for the Navy ROTC Program she said, “being in the ROTC program allowed me to experience so much, with San Diego’s perfect location for anything Navy related. I had so many experiences learning about the different aircraft the Navy flies.”
As a proud student mentor, Park shares her advice for incoming freshmen. “Take advantage of all the resources on campus. Whether that’s being close to your friends, the events, all of the resource centers, etc. It’s amazing that students have all of that at their fingertips.”
