What made you want to pursue a degree in Criminal Justice (CJ)?

I am pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice because I wanted to learn more about the criminal justice system and earn justice for those negatively impacted by this system.

Why did you decide to serve as a peer adviser?

I decided to serve as a peer adviser because I wanted to help my fellow students easily navigate the SDSU degree requirements in order to be able to graduate.

What does being a part of the SDSU community mean to you?

To me, being part of the SDSU community means making meaningful connections with people with various backgrounds and supporting my fellow students on our way towards graduation.

What advice would you give to students in the CJ or the School of Public Affairs (SPA) as they continue their studies and careers? *

I would advise students in my respective major to take courses that interest them and ask the professor questions. Learn as much as you can while in school and build your professional portfolio.

My favorite place on campus is the turtle pond. After a long day, it’s always nice to be able to take a minute and appreciate what’s around you while watching the turtles.

Outside of work, I like to hang out with my friends, hike, go to the beach, and be an active member in my fraternity.

What is one thing that fellow SPA students may not know about you?

One thing fellow CJ/PA majors may not know about me is that I recently learned how to swim and am now attempting to learn how to surf before I graduate.
