Donovan Wilson holds a certain cliché close to him. “You’ll get out what you put in. It is very cliché but also very true,” Wilson says.
Wilson applied this motto to his San Diego State University experience and hopes incoming freshmen will as well.
As a Criminal Justice major, Wilson says “my perspective of issues within the criminal justice system changed throughout my time at SDSU. Initially, I wanted to be a police officer, but now I am leaning toward a career that focuses more on the rehabilitation aspect of criminal justice.”
Looking to the future for the Class of 2021, Wilson says he hopes “that everyone meets their own expectations and goals for what they do in their lives.”
If a reporter were interviewing someone close to Wilson, he believes they would mention his competitiveness. “I enjoy the struggle and effort that competition brings,” Wilson says.
He comically adds that he’s even competitive and prideful about spinning an empty Sprite bottle upside down and it not falling over.
